The main goal of the strategy is to diminish the economic and social gap by mobilizing local community contribution to the economic growth and scoial cohesion. The strategy decreases the economic discrepancies, while ensuring the long term sustainable development and increased competition in Jiu Valley region, by raising and maintaining the number of jobs thus creating the appropriate environment to attract domestic and foreign investors.

Principalul scop al strategiei esta sa ajute la reducerea decalajului economic si social prin mobilizarea comunitatii locale la crestere economica si coeziune sociala. Strategia reduce discrepantele economice si asigura o dezvoltare pe termen lung a zonei Vaii Jiului printr-o dezvoltare sustenabila si marirea competitivitatii, prin cresterea si mentinerea locurilor de munca creand-se astfel conditiile adecvate pentru investitorii autohtoni si straini.
